After the first month of the current administration in the White House, many Americans are feeling frustrated, scared and uncertain about how things are happening, according to a CNN poll which says 52% disapprove of the job Trump is doing.

Enter the resistance. There have been a series of one day protests called 50501 – fifty protests, fifty states, one day. This organization has partnered with Build the Resistance as a grassroots movement aimed at both organizing and giving voice to disapprovers.

The first peaceful protests happened happened on February 5 and 17, 2025 as a “rapid response to anti-democratic actions by Donald Trump,” according to their website.

The next demonstrations will be held on March 4th and called “March 4th for Democracy.” Key focal points will be the onslaught of executive orders – many being held up in courts due to potential executive overreach – and response to Trump’s social media post depicting himself as a king. No doubt there will be support for Ukraine following the tense meeting between J.D. Vance, Trump and Vlodemyr Zelensky on Friday February 28.

50501 is a movement that I am supporting and sharing information about in Tennessee. The next protest is planned for March 4th at noon in Nashville.

Interested in joining the grassroots movement? Find upcoming events on their website: https://www.fiftyfifty.one/events.

Stay tuned for more opportunities to “build the resistance” against the Trump administration’s fire hose.

why is it so hard to find one of these protest? I am in TN, close to Nashville. I see it is happening but I am unable to find where and when the next one is to be. I would like to attend.
